1. Campers

CBS Counselors will…

• Live in a cabin (did we mention air-conditioned?) with 8 campers and one co-counselor
• Take primary responsibility for the health, well-being, and happiness of their campers during each term
• Model Christ to campers through their conversations and actions
• Lead daily devotionals (PowWows) for their cabin
• Recognize and respond to teachable moments both in the cabin and while teaching daily activities
• Encourage respect and stewardship for personal property, camp equipment and facilities
• Set a good example for campers in all areas including; actions and words towards the opposite sex, cleanliness and hygiene, punctuality and good sportsmanship

2. Camp Activities

CBS Counselors will…

• Be assigned to help instruct specific activities throughout the day
• Participate in all programs and evening activities of camp. (Have a blast! Your enthusiasm is contagious!)
• Supervise all assigned aspects of the campers’ day, including; morning wake-up, cabin clean-up, meal times, rest hour, evening activities, and getting ready for bed

3. Parents

CBS Counselors will…

• Make parent phone calls the first Tuesday of every term, updating the parents on how their child is doing
• Write a postcard to their campers’ parents during the three-week terms, updating them again on how their child is doing
• Show excitement in meeting/greeting camper families on opening and closing day. (We want them to feel comfortable with their child’s camp experience.)
